
Alejandro Bertrand
Alejandro has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial sector, with extensive expertise in investment banking, capital markets, corporate financing, and private debt. He joined Santander Investment Chile’s corporate finance team in 1997.
In 2001, he became Head of Investment Banking at BBVA Chile, where he led local and cross-border M&A transactions, public debt and equity issuances, and a wide range of structured financing solutions. He later served as Managing Director in charge of Investment Banking and Corporate Banking.
Between 2016 and 2020, Alejandro worked in asset management at EcuS Private Equity and Toseca Asset Management, structuring and managing private debt funds, participating in capital raising processes, and designing and executing alternative and structured financing transactions.
Alejandro is a Civil Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
